Fontes Nissae - Prameny Nisy jsou recenzované periodikum, které vychází od roku 2000 a na jehož vydávání a podobě se od roku 2012 podílí osm regionálních institucí. Periodikum představuje odbornou publikační platformu zaměřenou na oblasti historie, památek a umění, přičemž pojítkem je především region, chápaný nikoli úzce na Liberecko a Jablonecko, ale s ohledem na záběr zainteresovaných institucí vnímaný volněji, jako celá oblast dnešního Libereckého kraje s logickými přesahy v rámci historických vazeb a souvislostí. Vydavatelem periodika je Technická univerzita v Liberci, katedra historie Fakulty přírodovědně-humanitní a pedagogické. Na podobě Fontes Nissae se dále podílejí Krajská vědecká knihovna v Liberci, Městské muzeum v Železném Brodě, Národní památkový ústav, územní odborné pracoviště v Liberci, Oblastní galerie Liberec, Severočeské muzeum v Liberci, Státní okresní archiv Jablonec nad Nisou a Státní okresní archiv Liberec.     AKCEPTACE / INTERVENCE / DESTRUKCE – úvahy o adaptabilitě industriální architektury

    The use of abandoned industrial buildings, perceived as part of the industrial heritage, by inserting a new, usually non-production function, is a proven form of saving them. However, the relationship between the original building substance and the new function depends in the fi rst place on the adaptability of the industrial building. What are the main principles to be maintained when saving an industrial building for new functions through the form of conversion, or more precisely adaptive reuse? What obstacles stand in the way of these proven procedures and under what conditions can the original building, which is registered in the list of immovable cultural monuments, be meaningfully adapted? The three described basic variants of work with industrial buildings - acceptance/intervention/destruction - are documented by selected regional examples.

    Archeologický a památkový potenciál zaniklého osídlení v pohraničí. Komparativní studie vývoje sídelních struktur po roce 1945

    The topic of the presented paper finds itself on the border of archaeology, historiography and heritage studies. We compare the circumstances of the complete or partial extinction of settlements in the former Czechoslovak borderland after 1945 in connection with the events that followed the end of World War II. The comparison concerns two areas that lie at opposite e nds of today‘s Czech Republic. The comparison is based on three North Bohemian settlements: Hohenwald (High, Vysoký), Hoffnungstahl (Valley of Hope, Údolí Naděje) and Strickerhäuser (Clearings, Mýtiny) located near the border with Poland. We compare them with villages in the Gratzener Berglands (Novohradské Mountains, Novohradské hory) in the very south of Bohemia near the border with Austria.

    Architektonická stránka vybraných drážních budov Jihoseveroněmecké spojovací dráhy mezi lety 1854 a 1909

    The study is based on the diploma thesis „When the train arrived - the history of the railway from Pardubice/Pardubitz to Liberec/Reichenberg between 1854 and 1909“. It aimed to connect architectural-historical and technical research probes into a single narrative. The period procedures, mechanisms, regularities and specifi cs that characterized the selected railway were defi ned in the text by the selected objects. The original concept of the diploma thesis was to also conduct fi eld research and capture the oldest surviving elements of the track. Due to the amount and variety of archival material, this plan has been modifi ed and reduced from its original scope. In the said qualifying work, it was refl ected in the photographs of the current state of the dispatch building in Liberec and Hodkovice nad Mohelkou/Liebenau. Especially in the case of the Liberec railway station, the potential of the archive fund was far from exhausted. There is a relatively large amount of material for study – especially technical constructions – and they open up further possibilities for research.

    Čeští Němci mezi regionální a „sudetoněmeckou identitou“ Historie v libereckých, frýdlantských a jabloneckých vlastivědách

    Bei der Identitätsformung der aus den tschechischen Ländern stammenden Deutschen bzw. der tschechoslowakischen oder Sudetendeutschen spielten neben dem wetteifern mit dem tschechischen Emanzipationsprozess (dem bis jetzt die Forschungsaufmerksamkeit gewidmet wurde) auch die parallelen regionalen Identitäten eine wichtige Rolle, die in Folge der gemischten Besiedlung überdauerten. Eine starke Verbindung mit den Regionen beweist eine große Menge an landeskundlichen werken; reich war auch die landeskundliche Produktion in der Region der Oberneiße. Die Forschungsgebiete, die im Rahmen der Landeskunde der regionalen Geschichte gewidmet wurden, weisen deutlichen Einfluss der deutschen, an der Prager Universität gepflegten Geschichtsschreibung auf. Bedeutend war aber auch die Gegenrichtung der Übertragung, indem die Regionalgeschichte als Quelle der konkreten Fakten und Beispiele diente, die die von den Akademikern formulierten Entwicklungstendenzen bestätigen sollten. Beim Konstruieren der einheitlichen Identität der Deutschen aus den tschechischen Landesteilen, bzw. aus der Tschechoslowakei, deren wesentlicher Bestandteil die eigene Geschichtsauffassung war, ist das popularisierte geschichtliche Narrativ und die Identifikation mit den Vorfahren, mit den bedeutenden Kulturschaffenden wichtig. Regionenwiedie Oberneiße, dieoftdurchraue Klimabedingungen, geographisch ungünstige Situation oder auch durch die Position an der wirkungsperipherie der höheren Verwaltungsstrukturen gekennzeichnet sind, gewährten den nötigen Raum, wo sich Eigenschaften wie Unternehmer- und Erfindergeist und die Fähigkeit, in den ungünstigen Bedingungen zu bestehen, durchsetzen konnten. Das ist die Ausgangsfigur des Narrativs der regionalen Landeskunden. zu dieser am Anfang neutralen Grundlage kam schrittweise der nationale Inhalt hinzu. In den landeskundlichen werken aus dem Anfang der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts erschien diese charakteristik im engen zusammenhang mit der Formulierung des Geschichtssinnes der tschechischen Deutschen, bzw. mit ihrer geschichtlichen Kultivierungsaufgabe und projizierte sich in die Betonung des Besiedlungs- und Kolonisierungsthemas. Unter dem Einfluss des Patriotismus wurde dann vorausgesetzt, dass für diese Aufgabe gerade der deutsche Bevölkerungsteil die besondere angeborene Begabung hat.

    Dvě desetiletí na cestě k realizaci pomníku padlých v Jilemnici

    The study contemplates the creation of war monuments commemorating the victims of the Great War in Czechoslovakia by analyzing the 20-year preparation and implementation of the monument in Jilemnice in North Bohemia. It also captures the fate of the monument during the Nazi occupation an d in the second half of the 1940s after the liberation of Czechoslovakia. Through a detailed study of archival documents, two periods of efforts to establish the monument are reconstructed. The ideological tone of the monument is also evaluated as well as t he individual contribution of the architect Blahomír Podpěra, the author of the monument.

    Experiment se šťastným koncem. Nejen o Spadu meteoritů a o spolupráci Stanislava Libenského a Jaroslavy Brychtové s Karlem Hubáčkem pro interiér hotelu a televizního vysílače na Ještědu

    The study contemplates an unknown variant of the artistic concept of the outer shell of the load-bearing concrete cylinder in the interior of the hotel and TV transmitter on Ještěd, and at the same time explains why the author of the building, Karel Hubáček, chose the glass artists Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová to collaborate on this task. Photographs, a painting model and a model made of concrete and glass prove that the original creative solution, in which the architect Hubáček also participated as an author, was too radical for its time, and therefore S. Libenský and J. Brychtová independently prepared a new design. With use of other archival photos, the study shows the complex creative journey of this author pair in the realization of the new version from the source of inspiration, through the painting model and model tests to the original work called Meteorite Fall. With the specifi c properties of concrete and glass in mind, they created a work that resonates with the unique architecture of Hubáček and also enriches it with an impressive proof of unique visual art with timeless validity.
