Abstract
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá kritikou empiricismu z pozice Alfreda North Whiteheada, jednoho z nejvýznamnějších filosofů 19. a 20. století. Cílem práce je vystižení toho, jak Whiteheadova filosofie poukazuje na nedostatky vybraných empiricistických premis a jak tyto nedostatky řeší. Stěžejní část práce je věnována kritice empiricistického pojetí zkušenosti a s tím souvisejícím tématem nutného spojení. Zároveň práce nastíní, že empiricismus neobsáhl subjekt-objektový problém v ontologické úrovni, který Whiteheadova organicistní metafyzika řeší epistemologicky i ontologicky, rovněž jako dualismus mysli a těla. Bohužel Whitehead není v dnešní společnosti dostatečně znám.
The Bachelor Thesis deals with Whitehead's criticism of empirical philosophy. Alfred North Whitehead was one of the most important philosophers of the 19th and 20th centuries. The aim of the Thesis is to describe how Whitehead's philosophy points out the shortcomings of selected empiricist premises and how to solve such shortcomings. The main part of the Thesis deals with the criticism of the empiricist concept of experience and the theme of the integral connection related to. Simultaneously, the Thesis outlines that empiricism insufficiently encompasses the subject-object issue in ontology level. Whitehead's organic metaphysics solves it in epistemology and ontology, likewise the dualism of mind and body. Unfortunately, Whitehead is not well known.
