Abstract
Dissertation thesis focuses on research of selected process conditions (holding pressure, melt temperature, injection rate) on longitudinal, transverse in-mould shrinkage and on local production shrinkage of thickness in various distances from gate applied on rectangular plate. Semicrystalline polymer polypropylene in three type modifications - homopolymer PP, PP + 40% talc and PP + 40% glass fibres - is used in the research. In order to obtain detailed description of processes influencing shrinkage there was captured and evaluated pressure evolution inside the mould cavity by three transducers located in the area of gate, centre and end of flow path. Evaluation of results is carried out by statistical analysis of planned DOE experiment determining influence of investigated technological parameters on shrinkage of observed dimensions of testing samples. The results provide information about influence of selected parameters on in-mould shrinkage of moulded part produced from chosen materials and may be valuable source of data for mould designers in terms of shrinkage prediction.
