Abstract
Diplomová práce se zabývá historií kynologie u československého četnictva v letech 1918 až 1938. Její první kapitola je věnována počátku používání psů ve službě na českém území za dob habsburské monarchie. Na ni plynule navazuje druhá kapitola, věnující se stěžejním létům 1918 až 1938. Je zde rozebráno nejen jednání o znovuobnovení instituce služebních psů, ale i její obnovení. Zachycen je chov a výcvik služebních psů, a výnosy upravující používání psů na četnických stanicích a ve službě. Stranou zájmu nezůstaly ani významné osobnosti z řad četnictva, které měly na rozvoji této organizace obrovský podíl. Krátce je také pojednáno o ochranných psech zavedených v roce 1933. Třetí kapitola nastiňuje vývoj četnické kynologie od roku 1938 až doposud.
The Master's thesis is about the cynology of the Czechoslovakian gendarmerie from 1918 to 1938. The first chapter is devoted to the beginning of the using dogs in the Gendarmerie's services in the Czech area during the Habsburg Monarchy. The second chapter is picking up the story fluidly, which is about the main years of 1918 to 1938. Here there are analysed the negotiations about revitalization and renewal of the institution of police dogs. Next, this chapter is also about dogs breeding, their training and ministerial orders, which regulated using dogs in the Gendarmerie's services. There are also mentioned the noted persons from Gendarmerie, who had a share in the development of the institution of police dogs. There is also a short text about the protective dogs used from 1933. The third chapter adumbrates the development of the Gendarmerie's cynology from 1938 until now.
