Google PageRank: Relevance webových stránek a problém vlastních čísel

Abstract
The bachelor thesis is focused on the spectral properties of some particular matrices and their connections to Markov chains and the theory of digraphs. In particular we concentrate on nonnegative, positive, (sub)stochastic, (ir)reducible, and (im)primitive matrices. The theory is continuously demonstrated on a practical example, which works also as a motivation. This example is to determine so-called PageRanks of individual internet webpages. This PageRank can be interpreted as a measure of imparotance of the given webpage. The PageRank concept is employed for example by Google web search engine. This thesis analyzes the PageRank definition and reveals some difficulties that appear in the definition as well as in the computation of the PageRank. Hovewer, these difficulties can be easily avoided by using properties of the abovementioned matrices.
