Abstract
Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku práce s mapou a jejímu zařazení do výuky zeměpisu na druhém stupni základní školy. Prostřednictvím rešeršní části pohlíží na téma z úhlu pohledu zážitkové pedagogiky a jejího možného zařazení do výuky a z pohledu motivace žáků. Otázka přiměřenosti se při práci s mapou opírá o vývoj jedince. Vzhledem k teorii rozvoje myšlení jsou popsána vývojová stádia dle Piageta a experimenty, pomocí kterých se dosažení těchto konkrétních stádií zjišťuje. Z důvodu komplikovanosti zařazení tématu do hodin zeměpisu a jeho komplexnosti jsou zmíněny i metodiky výuky čtení mapy. Věnují se jak práci s mapou ve školním prostředí, tak i výuce čtení mapy orientačních běžců. Na základě výsledků testování dovedností řešit úkoly s mapou a se zahrnutím prvků Piagetovských experimentů bylo provedeno srovnání úspěšnosti mezi žáky běžných základních škol a dětmi věnujícími se orientačnímu běhu. Součástí práce je navržení dalších hypotéz, které během testování vyvstaly.
This diploma thesis deals with the problematics of working with the maps and its insertion into teaching Geography at the second grade of a primary school. The research focuses on the topic from two perspectives - an experience education perspective and its insertion into teaching, and the motivation of the pupils. The question of adequacy of working with the maps depends on the mental development of the individuals. Consid-ering the mind development theory, there are described Piaget's developing grades and experiments, which are useful for detecting the individual's acquirements. Due to the complicacy and the complexity of the insertion of this topic into Geography lessons, some procedures of a map reading, which is practised at schools for the pupils and for the orienteering runners, are mentioned in the thesis. Based on the results of a map activ-ities/map skills testing, which contained some parts of Piaget's experiments, the compar-ison between the pupils and orienteering runners was realized. The thesis also includes other hypotheses, which arose while the testing had been realized.
