Theoretical part includes cylinder blocks and iron liners production overview, diffusion process and heat transmission through a transient layer description. Experimental part contains description, pictures and evaluation of retrieved cylinder blocks samples, their chemical analysis and mechanical characteristics evaluation. Performed non-destructive testings (x-ray and ultrasonic detection) are also described.
- ItemAnalýza příčin poruchy hřídele hydraulického servořízení(Technická Univerzita v Liberci, 2008-01-01) Pauer, Jaroslav; Stuchlík, FrantišekThis bachelor´s thesis deal with analysis of damage causes of hydraulic power steering shaft. First part describes the device and the used material. The other part clarifies the principle of the material fatigue which causes defects, and also the division of the diffraction. In experimental part analysis of fracture area are made, mechanical properties of used material are attested and metalografic tests are rated with the aim to find the causation of diffreaction origin. Final part values results of experiments and the adviced technique for the next production.

In the theoretical part thermal-chemical treatments used are described as well as methods and test equipment for friction and wear testing are specified. The practical part contains a series of basic examinations carried out on samples that were carbonitriding and sulfonitriding. These tests specified the properties of created surface layers. In the next part the discussion about obtained results is carried out.

Samples were taken from two different parts of the cast. The impact of pressure and speed of solidification on the quality of the cast and and its inner structure was examined by several tests of the material.
- ItemMožnosti náhrady Mo v nízkolegovaných litinách(Technická Univerzita v Liberci, 2006-01-01) Kyzivát, Marek; Stuchlík, FrantišekThe aim of the baccalaureate work is to get acquainted with the production of plumbaginous irons in Škoda Auto Inc. in cases of alloying element use. One of the most important alloying element is molybdenum which is used in casts of brake wheels. Molybdenum ensures good tensile properties but its disadvantage is the fact that it is too expensive. The baccalaureate work should verify the brake wheel casts regarding the material aspect and analyse possibilities of Molybdenum replacement. Furthermore the work will recommend another procedure for brake wheel production and make a technical economic analysis of the recommended procedure.

At the beginning it explains why the tools are coating. In the next part there is an overview of methods using for coating including short explanation of principles of individual technologies PVD and CVD. An overview of test methods for evaluation of quality of coatings is at the end of the theoretical part. The approach to coating tools in firm BOSCH Diesel Jihlava Ltd. is analysed in the practical part. Next there is a proposal for evaluation quality of coatings in case when the firm is not producer of coatings. The final part describes how the proposed procedure was carried out in practise.

- ItemTechnická analýza možné náhrady karbonitridace procesem sulfonitridace s cílem snížení pasivních odporů a zvýšení životnosti(Technická Univerzita v Liberci, 2008-01-01) Szkudlarek, Marcin; Stuchlík, FrantišekIn the thesis the modification of surface through thermal-chemical treatment on final elements of MQ 200 gear box to carry out the analysis of possibility to replace the carbonitriding with sulfonitriding process is undertaken. In the theoretical part the typical processes of thermal-chemical treatments and the wear model arising during machine elements' mating are described. There is also the evaluation of sulfonitriding from technical, economical and ecological point of view brought up. In the experimental part the characteristics of obtained layers by using of following testing techniques: optical microscopy, X-ray microanalysis, microhardness measurements and tribological tests using the Pin-On-Disc method is carried out. The obtained test results are shown in a form of pictures, diagrams and tables.

The Basic material's used for coating was steel (according to norm ČSN 41 2050) and alloy of aluminium (ČSN 42 4339).

The theoretical part deals with general summary of the most commonly used aluminium alloys in foundry industry and with the influence of other ingredients and foreign substances on the characteristics of the alloy and their codes in accordance with the Czech Standard ČSN EN 1706. Further are discussed the issues of gas content in alloys, methods of degasification and cases when gas saturation is carried out. In the practical part measurements of hardness, yield value, ultimate strength and elongation of four representative kinds of smelt were carried out. The thesis includes pictures of microstructure of each smelt sample.

On the basis of measured value - Brinell hardness changes of mechanical properties of the pressure castes are monitored depending at time. In term of mechanical properties are matched values of natural and artificial aging. Diploma thesis is conceived into two main parts. Observations about heat treatment of aluminum alloys are summarized in the theoretic part. The experimental part includes description of effected tests, sales chart of results and metallographic evaluation of material of pressure cast.
