dc.description.abstractThe text discusses jokes through the lenses of pragmatic and contrastive theories and examines jokes as a text. Specifically, it attempts to answer the question why some jokes are hard or almost impossible to be translated to a foreign language and what kinds of jokes are actually too complicated to be translated. The first part of the text describes the author’s methods and goals of the analysis and defines the term ‘joke’. The next part of the paper is dedicated to three central theories of humor. It shows the structure of jokes that works within these basic theories. The examples provided throughout the text come from the Czech and German languages.en
dc.description.abstractText se věnuje vtipům z pragmatické a kontrastivní perspektivy. V prvních částech jsou stručně načrtnuty použité metody a cíle, které si autorka textu pro tuto spíše menší studii stanovila. Rovněž je zde vtip definován. Pro autorku tohoto textu nejsou relevantní menší slovní hříčky nebo spontánní vtipy, které jsou součástí autentické interakce. Zohledněny byly výlučně vtipy jako konkrétní druh textu. V dalších částech statě je za pomoci tří základních teoretických směrů demonstrováno, jak jsou vtipy a jejich pointy vystavěny. Hlavním cílem článku je však zjistit, jaké elementy vtipů a jaké druhy point jsou nebo mohou být problematické při překládání do jiného jazyka. Jsou uvedeny konkrétní příklady, které se orientují na překlad německojazyčných vtipů do češtiny a opačně.cs
dc.description.abstractArtykuł poświęcony jest żartom z punktu widzenia pragmatycznego i kontrastywnego. W pierwszej części krótko przedstawiono zastosowane metody i cele, jakie autor opracowania przyjął do celów przedstawionych badań. Zdefiniowano również pojęcie żartu. Dla autora niniejszego opracowania nie są ważne mniejsze gry słów czy spontaniczne żarty będące elementem autentycznej interakcji. Uwzględniono wyłącznie żarty będące konkretnym rodzajem tekstu. W kolejnej części opracowania, przy pomocy trzech podstawowych kierunków teoretycznych, przedstawiono sposób budowy żartów i ich point. Głównym celem artykułu jest zbadanie, jakie elementy żartów i jakie rodzaje point są lub mogą być kłopotliwe przy tłumaczeniu na język obcy. Przytoczono konkretne przykłady obejmujące tłumaczenie niemieckojęzycznych żartów na język czeski i odwrotnie.pl
