Abstract
Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na tematický celek Austrálie a Oceánie v učebnicích zeměpisu pro 2. stupeň základních škol. Jejím cílem je v rámci daného tematického celku tyto učebnice analyzovat dle zvolené metodiky. Dalším cílem této práce je ověřit a porovnat výuku daného tematického celku podle 2 zvolených učebnic v praxi. V práci byla využita metoda obsahové analýzy, efektivita výuky byla hodnocena prostřednictvím vědomostního testu, který byl žákům zadán před a po výuce tematického celku. Výsledky ukázaly, že v obou zkoumaných třídách došlo ke zlepšení či alespoň vyrovnání znalostí a dovedností žáků, výjimku tvořila jediná otázka vědomostního testu, ve které došlo k mírnému zhoršení. Zlepšení žáků dokazuje i statistická metoda t-testu. Zjištění této práce mohou být využita při výběru učebních materiálů, tvorbě učebnic a plánování výuky zeměpisu na základních školách.
The diploma thesis is focused on the thematic unit Australia and Oceania in the geography textbooks for the lower secondary education. Its aim is to analyse these textbooks within the given thematic unit according to the chosen methodology. Another aim of this thesis is to verify and compare the teaching of the thematic unit according to the 2 chosen textbooks in practice. The method of content analysis was used in the work, the effectiveness of teaching was evaluated through a knowledge test, which was given to students before and after the teaching of the thematic unit. The results showed that in both classes studied there was an improvement or at least a levelling off of the student´s knowledge and skills, the exception was one question of the knowledge test, in which there was a slight deterioration. The improvement of students is also demonstrated by the statistical method of t-test. The findings of this paper can be used in the selection of teaching materials, textbook development and planning of geography teaching in lower secondary schools.
