Abstract
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine and evaluate the quality of sleep among students of the Technical University of Liberec. The standardized Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index was chosen for the research, in which the probands answered all questions about their nightly rest in the previous month. There were 178 university students who participated in the questionnaire survey. An evaluation of their overall PSQI score shows that 55.1 % of respondents had difficulties with the quality of nighttime rest. The data obtained from Liberec were also compared with the results of the bachelor's thesis of Iveta Voňková, who collected information at Palacký University in Olomouc. Students at this university were better off, which corresponds to the length of sleep, in which 75.4 % met the recommended minimum, while in Liberec it was 9.7 % less.
