Abstract
Diplomová práce Nová Libeň kontinuálně navazuje na mou bakalářskou práci Ztracený svět Libně, která byla mimo jiné zásadním analytickým podkladem této studie. Hlavní ambice práce přetrvává ve snaze navázat ztracenou kontinuitu mezi historií libeňského židovského ghetta, následným založením židovské obce a mezi současnou strukturou Libně. Předchozí práce analyticky mapovala paralelu mezi historickou a současnou formou této pražské čtvrti. Zhmotněním minulosti do současného urbánního prostoru, práce poukázala na vytrácející se, dnes jen stěží vnímatelnou paměť místa, která nám má připomínat důležitý milník historie, úzce spjatý například i s holocaustem.Konceptem a cílem mé diplomové práce je redefinovat současné veřejné prostranství a vytvořit vitální veřejný prostor, který zachová poslední fragmenty z dob židovského ghetta a zároveň vytvoří kompaktní - městotvorný celek. Nový koncept urbanistické organizace bude vybízet k participaci, nové funkce a možnosti využití městské čtvrti - plánovanou intervencí do veřejného prostoru umístí Libeň do středu pozornosti, kterou zasluhuje.
The New Libeň Master's Thesis stems from my Bachelor's Thesis entitled The Lost World of Libeň. This Bachelor's Thesis served as an essential analytical document for this study. The main objective of the Thesis has remained unchanged - an effort to restore the lost continuity between the history of the Jewish ghetto in Libeň, establishment of Jewish community, and current structure of the Libně quarter. The Bachelor's Thesis represented analytical mapping of the parallel between historical and current form of this quarter in Prague. Through materialization of the past in the current urban space, the Thesis drew attention to the memory of the locality, disappearing and hardly perceptible, as an important milestone of the history closely connected with holocaust among other things.The concept and objective of my Master's Thesis is to redefine the current public area and transform it into the vital public space preserving last fragments of the Jewish ghetto while creating a compact - city-forming district. The new concept of urban layout will invite to participation, provide new function and possibilities for city district usage - the planned modification of the public area will put Libeň in the centre of attention where it deserves to be.
