Abstract
Tato bakalářská práce systematicky analyzuje etické rozměry očkování v kontextu pandemie COVID-19. Zabývá se historickými i současnými aspekty očkování a zkoumá, jakým způsobem se etika promítá do procesu výzkumu a vývoje vakcín, jejich distribuce a prioritizace při jejich přidělování. Vedle stručného zasazení problematiky očkování do historického kontextu se práce věnuje základním principům etického jednání v situaci pandemie. Nabízí základní informaci o právních aspektech a principech fungování očkovacích látek a stručně
přibližuje proces registrace vakcín. Zaměřuje se na etická hlediska kolektivní imunity, medicínského výzkumu a procesu jeho schvalování, na problematiku autonomie člověka a získání informovaného souhlasu a v neposlední řadě se věnuje otázkám spravedlivé distribuce vakcín jako vzácného zdroje. Celkově je snahou této práce nastínit komplexitu etické problematiky očkování spojeného s pandemií a motivovat k zamyšlení nad významem etiky nejen v medicíně, ale též v
každodenním životě společnosti.
This bachelor thesis systematically analyses the ethical dimensions of vaccination in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. It deals with historical and contemporary aspects of vaccination and examines the role of ethics in the process of research and development of vaccines, their distribution and prioritization during their allocation. Next to a brief introduction to vaccination in the historical context, this thesis deals with basic principles of ethical conduct during a pandemic. It offers basic information on the legal aspects and principles of the functioning of vaccines and provides a brief overview of the vaccine registration process. It focuses on the ethical aspects of collective immunity, medical research, and the process of its approval, on the issue of the individual autonomy, informed consent, and finally, it addresses the issues of a fair distribution of vaccines as a scarce resource. Overall, the aim of this thesis is to outline the complexity of vaccination ethics during a pandemic and to promote a contemplation of the importance of ethics not only in medicine, but also in the everyday life of society.
