dc.description.abstract	Obesity is nowadays often considered as the epidemy of the third millennium. Its incidence has increased in recent years not only by adults but also by children. The increase of children's obesity ranks the Czech Republic among the leading places in Europe.This thesis describes the causes, incidence and consequences of the disease. It also discusses the solution and possible ways to prevent or at least to mild the causes of illness and the protecion against them. In the research took part 469 pupils aged 12-15 years from seven primary schools in the region. According to the results of the survey, the BMI values range for the largest percentage of students selected between the 25th and 50th percentile, it means in the range of middle values. From obesity suffer 13 % of girls and 12 % of boys aged 12-15 years. The largest percentage of obese individuals were found among girls aged 12 years, namely 17 %. In this group had also been found the largest amount of body fat. 18 % of them had an estimate of body fat equal to or greater than 37 %.The lowest percentage, 9 % of obese individuals had been found among boys aged 13 years. There was 11 % of the estimate of body fat equal to or greater than 37 %.The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine the prevalence of obesity among children of teenage age in the Liberec region and compare the results with results from previous years.	en
dc.description.abstract	Obezita je poslední dobou často nazývána jako epidemie 3. tisíciletí. Její výskyt se za poslední léta zvýšil nejen u dospělých, ale také u dětí. Právě nárůstem dětské obezity se Česká republika řadí na jedno z předních míst v Evropě.Diplomová práce dále popisuje příčiny, výskyt a následky nemoci. Zabývá se také řešením, jak alespoň zčásti příčinám nemoci zabránit a jak se před nimi chránit.Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit výskyt obezity u dětí pubescentního věku v Libereckém regionu a výsledky porovnat s výsledky z předchozích let.Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 469 ţáků ve věku 12-15 let ze 7 základních škol Libereckého regionu. Podle výsledků výzkumu se hodnoty BMI u největšího procenta vybraných ţáků pohybují v pásmu 25. ? 50. percentilu, tedy v pásmu středních hodnot. Obezitou trpí 13 % dívek a 12 % chlapců ve věku 12-15 let. Největší procento obézních jedinců bylo zjištěno u dívek ve věku 12 let, a sice 17 %. U této skupiny byl také zjištěn největší odhad procenta tělesného tuku. 18 % z nich mělo odhad tělesného tuku rovno nebo větší 37 %. Naopak nejmenší procento, 9 %, obézních jedinců bylo zjištěno u chlapců ve věku 13 let. Zde mělo 11 % z nich odhad tělesného tuku rovno nebo větší 37 %.	cs
