dc.description.abstractJan Šimek holds Ph.D. in Czech History. Currently he leads the Department of History of Education in the National Pedagogical Museum and Library of J. A. Comenius in Prague. His area of research comprises of the development of teaching aids and the history of school buildings (e.g. questions of the historical development of the form of school buildings or the relationship between reform pedagogy and the form of space for teaching, he also leads a long-term project dealing with the mapping of school buildings in the Czech Republic). simek@npmk.czen
dc.description.abstractPetr Matějček is a scientific researcher of the The Přemysl Pitter and Olga Fierz Archive at the National Pedagogical Museum and Library of J. A. Comenius in Prague. At the same time, he works in the same position at the Military History Institute Prague. He deals with Czech history of the 19th and 20th centuries. matejcek@npmk.czen
dc.description.abstractTomáš Kasper is a Professor of History of Education and General Education at Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Arts, and Technical University of Liberec. He focuses on the themes of nationalization, modernisation of education, progress education and the development of education science in the second half of 20th century under totalitarianism (communism). He studied at the Charles University in Prague, University of Zurich and University of Heidelberg. He attended research stays at Humboldt University Berlin and the Herder Institute Marburg.
