Abstract
Diplomová práce je zaměřena na ekonomickou situaci Keňské republiky a její vztahy s Evropskou unií. Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je analyzovat všechny důležité faktory ovlivňující hospodářský rozvoj Keňské republiky, mezi něž neodmyslitelně patří i vztahy s Evropskou unií. Práce popisuje mezní události a naznačuje historická a hospodářská specifika této africké země. Dále zachycuje vývoj hlavních makroekonomických ukazatelů a analyzuje důležité sektory ekonomiky. Dílčím cílem je na základě této analýzy predikovat budoucí vývoj této rozvojové země v kontextu regionu a světové ekonomiky. Z analýzy vyplývá několik priorit, na které by se tato rozvojová země měla orientovat. Především investice do obnovení a výstavby infrastruktury, orientace ekonomiky na export kvalitních zemědělských komodit a poskytování konkurenceschopných služeb v rámci cestovního ruchu a vytváření lákavého investičního prostředí.
The diploma thesis is focused on economic situation of the Republic of Kenya and its relations with the European Union. The main purpose of this diploma thesis is to analyse important factors influential in economic development of the Republic of Kenya, among them belonging also relations with the European Union. The diploma thesis describes significant events and reflects historical and economical specifics of this African country. The next part of the thesis shows development of main economic indicators and analyses important sectors of Kenya´s economy. Based on this analysis, the particular purpose is to predict the future development of the country in regional and world context. As a result of the analysis there are several priorities this developing country should be oriented on. On the first place there stand investment in recovery and construction of infrastructure, directing the economy to export of quality agricultural products, and providing competitive services in tourism and also creating attractive environment for investors.
