Abstract
Bakalářská práce se zabývá způsobem a adekvátností překladu amerických reálií v seriálu Simpsonovi v českém překladu. V teoretické části jsme se soustředili na pojem reálie, teorii překladu, některé sféry současné americké kultury a jejich vyobrazení v seriálu Simpsonovi. V praktické části jsme porovnali nalezené reálie z původního znění s českým dabingem a analyzovali způsob a adekvátnost jejich překladu.
This bachelor thesis focuses on possible ways and adequacy of translation of American realia in Czech translation of the series The Simpsons. In the theoretical part, we focused on the term realia, the theory of translation, some parts of contemporary American culture and their depiction in The Simpsons. In the practical part, we compared the realia found in original dialogues with Czech dubbing and we further analyzed the possible ways and adequacy of the translation.
