Abstract
Cílem této bakalářské práce je zjistit, zda jsou čeští studenti anglického jazyka schopni rozpoznat rozdíl mezi slovy začínajícími na foném /w/ a /v/. Vzhledem k absenci hlásky /w/ v češtině se může stát, že pro české studenty je tato hláska obtížná při výslovnosti i poslechu. V diagnostickém testu na "minimal pairs" bylo zkoumáno, zda jsou budoucí učitelé anglického jazyka schopni rozpoznat rozdíl mezi danými hláskami. Následně byla sestavena rozmanitá cvičení, sloužící k procvičování slov obsahujících /w/ a /v/. Pro testování studentů a sestavení cvičení byla použita platforma Moodle.
This bachelor thesis investigates whether Czech English students can distinguish between words beginning with the phoneme /w/ and /v/. Since the Czech language does not include the /w/ sound, this phoneme may be challenging to hear and pronounce. A diagnostic test on minimal pairs was prepared to assess whether future teachers of the English language are capable of recognising the difference between these two phonemes. Based on the findings, a diverse set of exercises was developed to practise words containing /w/ and /v/. The diagnostic test and the exercises were implemented on the Moodle platform.
