Abstract
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá významným anglickým šlechticem druhé poloviny 15. století Richardem Nevillem, zvaným Králotvůrce. Obsah se soustředí na budování Nevillova postavení a politické moci v království. Práce chronologicky sleduje Nevillův život a mapuje jednotlivé události, které vedly k jeho politickému vzestupu a následnému pádu. Diplomová práce čerpá z množství dobových kronik, dokumentů a dopisů, které nabízí pohled na první polovinu válek růží a jednu z jejích nejdůležitějších postav.
This diploma thesis deals with the important English nobleman of the second half of the 15th century Richard Neville, known as the Kingmaker. The content focuses on building Neville's position and political power in the kingdom. The thesis chronologically follows Neville's life and describes the individual events that led to his political rise and subsequent fall. The diploma thesis draws on a number of period chronicles, documents and letters, which provides insight into the first half of the Wars of Roses and one of its most important characters.
