Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with distance learning of Czech language and literature at the second level of primary schools during the emergency measures in the second half of the school year 2019/2020 and the school year 2020/2021. These emergency measures came in response to the pandemic situation, due to which the physical presence of pupils in schools and educational institutions was banned not only in the Czech Republic, but also in almost all countries of the world. In order for teaching to continue, at least to a limited extent, it was necessary to react quickly and set up a functional system. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the characteristics of distance education, its forms and digital tools that are suitable for teaching Czech language and literature, then on the recommendations of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Czech School Inspectorate and finally on the situation abroad. The aim of the practical part of this thesis was to map the experience of Czech language and literature teachers at the second level of primary school with distance learning and to find out how distance learning has influenced the teaching of Czech language and literature. To meet the objectives of the thesis, we chose a questionnaire survey to obtain results from nearly 200 respondents. Another aim was to design a set of preparations for distance learning and then to test it in practice.
