Abstract
Za provokativní asociací spojující historické opevnění malého města s vídeňskou třídou se skrývá analýza vnitřní periferie, zapomenutého meziprostoru na hranicích historického a moderního města s nejasnou funkcí i vlastnictvím. Práce obhajuje odvážná tvrzení - že existuje více než jen povrchní podobnost mezi maloměstským hradebním okruhem a metropolitní ringstrasse a že tento veřejný prostor lze upravit do podoby městké třídy.
A provocative association linking a medieval fortification of a small town with a Viennese corzo introduces an analysis of an inner periphery, a forgotten space between the fortified historical center and a modern urban structure. The thesis advocates courageous assertions that there is more than just a superficial resemblance between the metropolitan ringstrasse and the small town rampart ring and that this public space can be transformed to play a part of a market street.
