Abstract
The aim of the bachelor's thesis is a happening, in which people engage in listening or broadcasting sound in three different situations. In any case, it is a possibility to hear something that is not otherwise available in the given place. Using metal sound canals that work as site-specific installations, we can, with a bit of luck, have a chance encounter with someone or something, what is completely unknown to us. The first sound canal is related to interpersonal communication, the second connects you with the water element, and the third is a purely conceptual, utopian sound canal, connecting the contrasts of the world to each other. The first ear canal is related to interpersonal communication, the second connects man to the water element, and the third is a purely conceptual, utopian ear canal, connecting the contrasts of the world to each other. connecting the contrasts of the world with each other The height difference in the location of the sound canal of communication creates an obstacle for the personal meeting of two or more users on both sides, so a completely anonymous introduction takes place. What the user entrusts to the sound canal is entirely up to him. He can sing, talk, have a simple conversation with the other person, or just listen curiously. In the second case, we no longer establish contact with humans, but listen to a natural element whose close encounter with us is disturbed by urban architecture. We are located on the bridge in Kolín, under which the Elbe flows, which creates wild rapids on the weir, but it is impossible to see or hear properly. But with the help of the second sound canal, the wild sound of the water reaches us and contributes to the romance of the entire river panorama. The third sound canal is purely utopian and experimental, for these reasons it remains in conceptual form. This sound canal not only transmits sound, it transmits temperature and humidity, but also feelings and time. It connects opposite things and transfers them to each other, where they cannot easily exist in the real world.
