Abstract
Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na okolnosti vzniku starořecké nauky atomismu na konci předsókratovského období, úzce souvisejícím s řešením problému zkoumání skutečnosti po Elejské nauce. Práce si klade za cíl ukázat cestu od Elejské školy k atomismu rozborem nauk, vzájemným porovnáváním a ukázáním souvislostí ve vývoji myšlení pro téma zásadních filosofů Parmenida, Melissa, Empedoklea, Anaxagory, Leukippa a Démokrita. Během práce jsou výše uvedení myslitelé uvedeni v jejich běžném pořadí a jejich přínos pro vznik atomismu je postupně, či zpětně zdůrazněn. Atomismus má totiž své kořeny především v Melissově omylu v chápání hranice Parmenidova jsoucna jako prostorové a poeleátských pokusech o vysvětlení vzniku a zániku věcí v reálném světě.
This bachelor thesis focuses on the background of the birth of ancient Greek atomism at the end of the pre-Socratic age, which is related to the problem of examinating nature after Eleatic teachings. The thesis's goal is to manifest how the philosophy shifted from Eleatic school into atomism by analysing the teachings of the most relevant philosophers to this topic. That being Parmenides, Melissus, Empedocles, Anaxagoras, Leucippus and Democritus. In this paper, the above-mentioned thinkers are all presented in their usual order and their contribution to the birth of ancient atomism is consecutively or retroactively emphasized.For Atomism has its roots primarily in Melissus's mistake in understanding the boundary of Parmenides's being as spatial and the post Eleatic attempts to explain the creation and demise of things in the real world.
