- ItemAdaptation of speech recognition systems to selected real-world deployment conditions(2021-11-26) Červa, PetrTato habilitační práce se zabývá problematikou adaptace systémů rozpoznávání řeči na vybrané reálné podmínky nasazení.

- ItemCompensation of real-world distortions in speech signals(2023) Málek, JiříThis habilitation thesis focuses on the compensation of various distortions encountered in real-world speech recordings. The thesis is organized as a collection of articles concerning this problem and published by the author between 2013 and 2022. The manuscripts were created as the output of several consecutive research projects provided by the GAČR and TAČR funding agencies. The articles follow three research topics. The main topic is the extraction of a target speaker from a mixture of several sound sources. The other topic is robust automatic speech recognition. The transcription can be complicated by unwanted sounds in the speech recording or an insufficient amount of suitable training data. Finally, the compensation of nonlinear distortions in acoustic echo cancellation is addressed.

- ItemDYNAMIC MODELLING OF COMPLEX SYSTEMS AT NANOSCALE(2023) Posel, ZbyšekComputer modelling represent fast and reliable tool for predicting the behaviour of complex systems and provides an indicative information for experimentalists during design and testing period. Nevertheless, complex systems contain large number of degrees of freedom that can span several length and time scales. This hamper the application of well-established models and modelling methods such as Monte Carlo or molecular dynamics. Instead, complex systems must be first coarse-grained and mapped to models on larger scales that contains phenomena of interest, fits nowadays methodologies and hardware sources. The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate the applicability of dynamic modelling on predicting the behaviour of complex systems which are here represented by composite materials that contain polymers, nanoparticles or gels and undergoes self-assembly or aggregation. Complex systems considered in this thesis are used many technological applications such as soft lithography, drug design or design of smart surfaces. Beside dynamic modelling methods, thesis shows importance of coarse-grained and mapping techniques for transforming the real system into computer model. Finally, achieved results shows usefulness of modelling when tailoring macroscopic behaviour of simulated systems with their microscopic structure, predicting their phase behaviour in multivariable space or under non-equilibrium conditions and in confined geometries.

- ItemNÁVRH A OPTIMALIZACE AKUSTICKÝCH SYSTÉMŮ ZALOŽENÝCH NA SYNERGII MEMBRÁNOVÉHO A DUTINOVÉHO REZONÁTORU(2019-10-18) Kalinová, KláraTato habilitační práce je souborem výzkumných aktivit a z nich vyplívajících poznatků jednak pro návrh a realizaci aplikovatelného akustického systému a také pro návrh a realizaci edukativních sestav pro studenty technických oborů. Jednotlivé kapitoly se opírají o publikované příspěvky v impaktovaných časopisech, resp. uvedených v databázích SCOPUS a WEB of SCIENCE, o udělené patenty, realizovaná díla, edukativní sestavy a exponát.

- ItemONE-DIMENSIONAL NANOFIBERS: APPLICATION IN MEMBRANE TECHNOLOGY(2021-11-08) Yalcinkaya, FatmaThis habilitation thesis is prepared based on the author's contributions to the nanofiber membranes in water treatment. First, the author tried to determine the main problems why the nanofibers cannot use in water domain applications in the market, then tried to suggest solutions, solve and clarify each problem. The thesis provides a comprehensive description of the issue based on the current state of knowledge. The structure of the thesis is as follows: Chapter 1 is a general introduction that shows the main problems why the nanofibers cannot take place in liquid filtration. In Chapter 2, electrospinning process and parameters for the forming of the nanofiber web are introduced. We discuss the needle-free electsopinning system developed by the Technical University of Liberec (TUL). Chapter 3 focuses on membrane technology and nanofibers in membrane technology. Chapter 4 is represented the work of the author in cooperation with several authors from different institutions and countries in the field of nanofiber web formation, membrane preparation, application, and comment on their contribution to the scientific community. Chapter 5 is the conclusion of the work. In the Appendix part, the author includes scientific publications together with co-authors from the same or different institutions.
