- ItemLitina s kuličkovým grafitem s vyšším obsahem křemíku(Technická Univerzita v Liberci, 2009-01-01) Řidký, Ondřej; Nová, IvaThis Bachelor thesis is devoted to alloy with spheroidal graphite with a higher content of silicon, since this material according to the first research carried out shows suitable mechanical properties. We have not used it yet, it appears as a promising material for the automotive industry. In the first part of thesis is explained how the cast iron with spheroidal graphite is produced, a description of their characteristics and possibilities of using this iron. Another part of this work is devoted to alloy with a high content of silicon (about 3.75% Si), which would in the future to replace the currently used cast iron EN-GJS 500-7, which has a ferritic-pearlite structure and therefore inhomogeneous properties in different locations. Alternatively, the iron containing about 2.75% Si could replace EN-GJS 400-15. In the last part referred to research carried out at TU in Liberec, where to find appropriate metallurgical production of cast iron in order to achieve the mechanical properties of the standard ISO1083: 2004 (E).

In our foundries with no experience of this material, yet it appears as a promising material for the automotive industry. In the firstpart of the thesis summarizes the findings on the production of ductile ironwith a higher silicon content. The second part of this work is experimental and is focused on the production technology based on knowledge obtained from experiments carried out. Production technology means the chargecomposition, type of melting equipment, used an inoculant, the method of vaccination, modification and appropriate modifier. Thus the resultingmaterial to suit the requirements
