    STUDY CENTRE of the Technical University of Liberec. The topic of my thesis is to design a new study centre on the campus of the University of Liberec. The Learning Centre includes new facilities for the Library of the TUL with a capacity of 400 000 volumes, with a free access to another 100 volumes on shelves. The Study Centre offers reading and study space for individuals and groups, a lecture hall with hundred places, a copy centre with a printer as well as exhibition space and a pleasant cafe. The building is situated in an enjoyable environment, the northern facade is immersed in a maple grove, south facade faces the Student Square, the main public space of the campus. The building is designed as an open concrete shell covered with grass. Inside, there is a soft blend of internal and external spaces separated by a glass wall.
