dc.description.abstractAs well as the other Member States with derogation the Czech Republic is in preparation for the adoption a new currency euro. The government of the Czech Republic and the Czech national bank plan to join the euro area most probably on 1 January 2010. The aim of my dissertation is to review whether this date is achievable in term of the current Czech economic situation. My review will be based on the present progress made in the fulfilment of the Maastricht convergence criteria and the perspective on their future development. My dissertation will shortly mention the development of the European Monetary Union, the problematic situation in some Member States of EMU, and the adoption strategy in other countries.en
dc.description.abstractČeská republika se jako některé další členské státy EU chystá na přijetí eura. Vláda ČR ve spolupráci s ČNB stanovila jako nejpravděpodobnější datum přijetí eura 1. leden 2010. Cílem této diplomové práce je posoudit, do jaké míry je toto datum reálné z hlediska současné ekonomické situace České republiky. Hodnocení bude provedeno na základě dosavadního plnění Maastrichtských konvergenčních kritérií a výhledu jejich vývoje v budoucnu. V krátkosti se zaměří i na historický vývoj EMU, problematickou situaci v některých členských zemích EMU a na strategie přijetí eura v ostatních členských státech.cs
