Abstract
Tato práce se zaměřuje na rozdílné vnímání dvou rusko-čečenských konfliktů. Jádrem práce bude období od počátku první rusko-čečenské války v roce 1994 s meziválečným obdobím v letech 1996 až 1999 a následně druhý rusko-čečenský konflikt, který s ohledem na jeho dlouhé trvání omezíme rokem 2001. Cílem je analyzovat rozdílnost reakce mezinárodních organizací a médií na tyto válečné konflikty. První část práce se zaměří na pozadí historického vývoje Čečenské republiky a její tradice, společenské zřízení a počátek kavkazských konfliktů s Ruskem.
This work focuses on the different perceptions of the two Russian-Chechen conflicts. The core area of study of this thesis will be the period from the beginning of the first Russian-Chechen war in 1994 including the interwar period in 1996 to 1999 followed by the second Russian-Chechen conflict. Due to the prolonged duration of this conflict, the analysis will stop in 2001. The goal of this thesis is to analyze the different reactions of the international organizations, as well as the media towards these conflicts. The first part of the work will focus on the background of the historical development of the Chechen Republic and its traditions, social establishment and the beginning of the Caucasian conflicts with Russia.
