Abstract
Bakalářská práce se zabývá kulturním a společenským životem v koncentračním táboře Terezín během druhé světové války. Na začátku práce je vysvětlen pojem holocaust, popsána historie terezínské pevnosti a terezínského ghetta. Hlavní část práce přináší ucelený přehled všech oblastí kultury, které v terezínském ghettu vznikaly. Zachycuje kulturu divadelní, hudební, výtvarnou a literární, a její hlavní díla a představitele. Práce rovněž popisuje význam kultury v Terezíně pro židovské vězně i pro nacistické Německo.
The bachelor thesis deals with cultural and social life in the Terezin concentration camp during World War II. At the beginning is the explanation of the term Holocaust and description of the history of Terezin Fortress and the Terezin ghetto. The main part of the thesis gives a comprehensive overview of all areas of culture, which originated in the Terezin ghetto. The thesis captures the culture of theater, music, visual arts and literature, and their major works and representatives. The thesis also describes the importance of culture in Terezin for Jewish prisoners and for Nazi Germany.
