Bakalářská práce se zabývá životem klientek se středně těžkou mentální poruchou v chráněném bydlení a hodnocením výhod a nevýhod oproti životu v ústavu sociální péče z pohledu klientek.Dále je práce zaměřena na rozvoj soběstačnosti, kompetencí a dovedností klientek z pohledu asistentů chráněného bydlení.
