dc.description.abstractThe objective of this Master's Thesis is to establish and describe the basis of financial analysis and subsequently, by employing selected methods, to analyze the financial status of the company Selgen, corp. between years 2004 - 2008. This thesis comprises of two sections: theoretical and practical, respectively. The theoretical section discusses the fundamentals of financial analysis, defines its purpose, its process, sources of information and individual users. A crucial part of this section deals with a detailed account of the elementary methods, systems and types of financial analysis, including their calculation. The practical section features a brief introduction of the discussed company, followed by an analysis of its account statements, the analysis of ratio indexes, and the analysis of chosen total indexes. The thesis is concluded by the evaluation of Selgen's financial situation and the results of conducted analysis are summarized.en
dc.description.abstractCílem diplomové práce je popsat základní poznatky z oblasti finanční analýzy a následně pomocí vybraných metod analyzovat finanční situaci společnosti Selgen, a.s. v letech 2004 - 2008. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část zachycuje podstatu finanční analýzy, přibližuje její účel, průběh, zdroje informací a jednotlivé uživatele. Stěžejní část tvoří popis elementárních metod, soustav a modelů finanční analýzy, včetně jejich výpočtu. Praktická část obsahuje nejprve stručnou charakteristiku vybraného podniku. Následuje rozbor účetních výkazů společnosti, analýza poměrových ukazatelů a analýza vybraných souhrnných indexů. V závěru práce je zhodnocena finanční situace společnosti a shrnuty výsledky provedené analýzy.cs
