Abstract
The main objective of this diploma thesis, which is entitled ?The role of technical reserves in management of insurance companies?, is to describe the technical reserves, their legislative adjustment, the role in management of insurance companies and to describe trends in development of technical reserves in the Czech republic in the period 1999?2009. This thesis is logically divided into four chapters devoted to the regulation of the insurance market, the questions of technical reserves, analysis of technical reserves and to take down the reinsurers? share in the technical reserves. The central chapter of this thesis is the third chapter, entitled ?Analysis of technical reserves of insurance companies? which covers the analysis of technical reserves created by member insurance companies of the association Česká asociace pojišťoven. Technical reserves are going to be analyzed using statistical methods which are the elementary statistical analysis and time series analysis which determines the development trend and prediction of development of technical reserves for two subsequent periods.
Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce, jež je nazvaná ?Role technických rezerv v hospodaření pojišťoven?, je popsat technické rezervy pojišťoven, jejich legislativní úpravu, roli v hospodaření pojišťoven a charakterizovat tendence vývoje technických rezerv České republice v období let 1999?2009. Tato práce je logicky rozčleněna do čtyř kapitol věnovaných regulaci pojistného trhu, problematice technických rezerv, analýze vývoje technických rezerv a zachycení podílu zajistitelů na technických rezervách. Stěžejní kapitolou této diplomové práce je kapitola třetí nazvaná ?Analýza technických rezerv pojišťoven?, která se věnuje analýze technických rezerv tvořených členskými pojišťovnami České asociace pojišťoven. Technické rezervy budou analyzovány pomocí statistických metod, kterými jsou elementární statistická analýza a analýza časových řad, která určuje vývojový trend a predikci vývoje technických rezerv pro dvě následující období.
