Abstract
Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem citového vztahu k darovaným předmětům, které v nás vyvolávají rozporuplné pocity - nelíbí se nám esteticky, ale přesto k nim máme osobní vazbu. Výchozím impulsem se stala malá porcelánová váza připomínající turistické suvenýry z Asie, jejíž vizuální stránka působí banálně, přesto je s ní spojena silná vzpomínka. Práce zkoumá, jak první vizuální dojem ovlivňuje náš postoj k věcem, které přijímáme jako dar, a jak lze vztah k takovému předmětu znovu definovat skrze výtvarný proces. V rámci praktické části vznikl soubor objektů ze skla, keramiky a porcelánu, vytvořených technikou Kurinuki - tradiční japonskou metodou vyřezávání nádob z jednoho kusu materiálu. Výsledná kolekce nabízí nový pohled na původní vázu a otevírá širší otázky o hodnotě a významu osobních artefaktů v našem životě.
The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of emotional attachment to gifted objects that evoke conflicting feelings in us - we may not find them aesthetically pleasing, yet we still maintain a personal connection to them. The initial impulse for the work came from a small porcelain vase reminiscent of tourist souvenirs from Asia, whose visual appearance seems banal, yet it is tied to a strong memory. The thesis explores how our first visual impression influences our attitude toward items we receive as gifts and how our relationship with such an object can be redefined through the artistic process. As part of the practical component, a collection of objects made from glass, ceramics, and porcelain was created using the Kurinuki technique - a traditional Japanese method of carving vessels from a single block of material. The resulting collection offers a new perspective on the original vase and opens broader questions about the value and significance of personal artifacts in our lives.
