Abstract
Nejstarší definice pojmu kvalita je přisuzována Aristotelovi. Kvalita se v historii objevuje již za dob, kdy člověk začal lovit, stavět si obydlí, zajišťoval si obživu pro sebe i svou rodinu. Posunem v pohledu na kvalitu byl začátek směnného obchodu, kdy vznikl vztah mezi produktem a zákazníkem. V této době byl produkt poskytován přímo zákazníkovi, splňoval tedy přání a požadavky konečného zákazníka. Politika jakosti tvoří základní prvek podnikového systému řízení jakosti. Charakterizujehlavní ideu a zásady, které organizace v oblasti řízení jakosti hodlá prosazovats ohledem na své zaměření. Nelze stanovit univerzální návrh politiky jakosti vzhledemk jedinečnosti každé organizace. Jedná se o koordinované činnosti pro usměrňování a řízení organizace s ohledemna jakost. Patří k nim všechny činnosti celého vedení organizace, které stanovujípolitiku jakosti, cíle a odpovědnosti a realizují je takovými prostředky, jako jeplánování jakosti, řízení jakosti, zajišťování jakosti a zlepšování jakosti.
