Abstract
Ve své práci jsem se zaměřila na práva zvířat z filosoficko-etické perspektivy. V první a druhé části analyzuji klíčové pojmy vybrané argumentace na téma ochrany práv zvířat. Třetí část se zaměřuje na filosoficko-právní perspektivu práv zvířat v průběhu 19., 20. a 21. století. Čtvrtá a pátá část mé práce se zaobírají dvěma nejvýznamnějšími autory a teoretiky práv zvířat 21. století - Peterem Singerem a Tomem Reganem. Zabývám se v nich jejich životy, jejich díly a klíčovými koncepty jejich teorií. Šestá a poslední část této práce se věnuje organizacím na ochranu práv zvířat, jejich činnosti a vlivu na celé hnutí.
In my thesis I focus upon the concept of animal rights from the philosophical and ethical perspective. In the first and second segment, I present the key concepts and selected argumentation for admitting the moral status and animal rights. In the third part I analyze the evolution of the philosophically-legal perspective of animal rights during 19.,20. and 21. century. The fourth and fifth part is dedicated to two of the most important authors and theoretician of the 21st century - Peter Singer and Tom Regan. In those two chapters I follow up with the information about their lives, their books and the key concepts of their theories. Sixth and final part of this thesis is dedicated to animal rights organizations, their activities and the impact they have had on the whole movement.
