dc.description.abstract	The main idea of the thesis is to devise a theoretical urban planning and architectural design in order to redesign the existing public quay area and provide an accommodation unit.The site area is located in Ústí nad Labem which is in northwestern the Czech Republic. There are three different important national monuments around the project area.Masaryk's Lock, a national technical monument - the largest waterworks on the Labe River and an important fully preserved technical monument. Vrkoč, a national natural monument - one of the largest rock formations with bare and perfectly visible basaltic joints. Střekov Fortress, a national historic landmark - a well-preserved fortress ruin located on a rock about 100 m above the Labe River. In addition, the site area has a magnificent view of its immediate organic surroundings such as a large green area and a river where transportation and freight transfer between countries are used a lot.The aim of the project is to design a presentable structure that will suitably complement the aforementioned 3 important landmarks and, in this respect, complete the southern silhouette of the city an up-to-date Marina design is expected -harbor with moorings for pleasure craft and small boats ensuring regular water transport on the Labe River, including facilities for the vessels' passengers. Project programs include accommodation facilities for passengers of pleasure craft or cyclists riding along the international Labe - Elbe River cycling trail, a waiting room for passengers of pleasure boats including amenities, a restaurant with an open-air terrace, a fuel filling station for small vessels, information center, jetty/boarding bridges for pleasure boats and cruisers, parking lots for cars and buses, the bus stop of public transport system, landscape/garden architecture including areas for leisure-time activities in an unused part of the railway siding as a tourist attraction.The main motto of the project is nature creates man complete. In this motto, human beings complete nature with their touches; It is emphasized that nature is creative, special, and unique. The approach with a similar sensitivity to the project area has developed as follows: Nature is so special that no matter what humankind does, humankind harms nature somehow. Considering the project area as a part of nature, by tearing (damaging) nature, it was kindly wished to show the construction of human beings under this piece of nature, and this defined space was pointed out.All the required programs are placed in this space. The main building is shaped by the defined space after tearing nature. The defined space under nature kindly created the main building shape. The main building is on the riverside and is positioned to provide a visual relationship between the Střekov castle and Vrkoč. The project area outside the building is considered a piece of nature. The area to the south of the project area has been strengthened with the green from Vrkoč, and integrity has been desired. By taking the water coming from the river to the project area, it was ensured that nature mingled with each other and human beings felt nature more.	cs
