dc.description.abstractThe bachelor thesis describes the changes of the phenomenon of the death in Western Europe culture environment from the middle ages to the present time. The main theme of the thesis is dying and the caring for dying persons, the funeral ceremonies and also the places where the people are buried. The thesis focuses on the fact of dehumanization of the dying in the hospice organizations and also it points on the loss of the meaning of the funerals nowadays. It shows the importance of the hospice organisations which are dedicated to maintain quality care for terminally ill persons. The work also describes the new phenomenon of the virtual cemeteries.en
dc.description.abstractBakalářská práce zachycuje proměny fenoménu smrti v evropském západním kulturním okruhu od středověku po současnost. Zabývá se umíráním a péčí o umírající, dále pohřebními obřady a také místy posledního uložení zemřelých. Práce se snaží upozornit na skutečnost odosobněného umírání v nemocničních zařízeních a rovněž na často nedostatečné poslední rozloučení se zesnulými v současnosti. Dále také poukazuje na činnost hospiců, jejichž cílem je zajistit důstojné umírání. Práce se zmiňuje také o nových formách hřbitovů vznikajících v dnešní době, jimiž jsou virtuální hřbitovy.cs
