Abstract
Bakalářská práce se zabývá životem a odkazem Joy Adamsonové. V první části rešerše se práce zabývá českou tapisérií a vybranými textilními výtvarníky. Následně je v práci rozebrána osoba Joy Adamsonové od raného dětství až po svou uměleckou činnost. V návaznosti se poté práce zaměřuje na africké odívání, šperk, obchodování s Českem a
zmiňuje také zajímavé africké textilní umělce. Praktická část bakalářské práce poté popisuje výběr inspirace a tvorbu návrhu tapiserie a její samotnou realizaci.
The bachelor thesis focuses on the life and legacy of Joy Adamson. The first part of the research examines Czech tapestries and selected textile artists. The thesis then analyzes the person of Joy Adamson, from her early childhood to her artistic activities. Following this, the thesis focuses on African clothing, jewelry, trade with the Czech Republic, and also mentions interesting African textile artists. The practical part of the bachelor thesis describes the selection of inspiration and the creation of the tapestry design, along with its actual realization.
