Abstract
Předmětem diplomové práce na téma Změny v ekonomickém postavení zemí skupiny BRICS v rámci světových regionů je především zhodnocení aktuální situace a nastalých změn v návaznosti na události z let 2008 a 2014. Tyto roky jsou dvěma milníky v životě rozvíjejících se ekonomik a zásadně zformovaly nynější postavení zemí BRICS. Prvním zvoleným světovým regionem jsou rozvinuté tržní ekonomiky bohatého Severu, druhým potom rozvojový svět zahrnující rychle se rozvíjející i rozvojové země převážně z chudého Jihu. Nejprve jsou jednotlivé členské země BRICS, tedy Brazílie, Rusko, Indie, Čína a Jihoafrická republika, představeny a je zhodnocena jejich aktuální socio-ekonomická situace. V další části se práce zabývá silnými a slabými stránkami uskupení BRICS a dále už nabízí konfrontaci BRICS jako celku a zmíněných světových regionů. Zaměřuje se při tom na ekonomickou a sociální stránku, je přihlíženo také ke geopolitickým faktorům, které formují mezinárodní dění. Součástí práce je také zamyšlení nad budoucím vývojem uskupení BRICS v rámci globalizovaného světa.
The subject of the diploma thesis on Changes in Economic Position of the BRICS Countries within the World Regions is mainly about evaluation of the current situation and occured changes which reflecting the events of 2008 and 2014. These years are two milestones in the life of emerging economies and have fundamentally shaped the current position of BRICS countries. The first defined world region is developed market economies from the rich North, the second one involves both emerging and developing countries mainly from the poor South. First, the BRICS member states, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, are introduced and their current socio-economic situation is assessed. In the next part is paper focused on the strengths and weaknesses of BRICS group and then is offered confrontation BRICS as a whole with the mentioned world regions. It focuses on the economic and social aspect and considers also geopolitical factors, which moved with international events. Part of the work is also reflection on the future development of the BRICS group within the globalized world.
