Abstract
Bakalářská práce se zabývá hypotézou dvojkomorové mysli Juliana Jaynese. V úvodu práce je čtenář uveden do problematiky a seznámí se s autorem hypotézy. Je zde vysvětleno, jak zapadá Jaynesova teorie do dnešních poznatků o neurobiologii a psychologii člověka a jakých metod se používá k retrospektivnímu zkoumání myslí našich předků. Dále jsou v práci popsané obecné vlastnosti vědomí dnešního člověka a také je zde vysvětlena hypotéza Stevena Mithena o mladopaleolitické struktuře mysli. Dále je zde popsán vliv jazyka na vědomí, po vzoru hypotézy Juliana Jaynese. V závěru se objevuje část věnovaná dějinám myšlení z hlediska dvojkomorovosti. Mimo jiné je zde rozebrána i část textu Iliady, podle knihy The Origin of consciousness in the breakdown of the bicameral mind.
The bachelor's thesis deals with the hypothesis of Julian Jaynes's bicameral mind. Introduction acquaints the reader with the issue and the author of the hypothesis. The manner is explained of how Jaynes's theory engages with contemporary findings in the area of human neurobiology and psychology, and which methods are used for retrospective examination of our predecessors' minds. Furthermore, the thesis describes general features of consciousness of a contemporary person, and also the hypothesis of Steven Mithen about the lower palaeolithic mind structure is explained. Consequently, the influence of language on consciousness related to Julian Jaynes's hypothesis is described. Conclusion is dedicated to the history of thinking with respect to the bicameral mind. Besides other, part of Illias is analysed according to the book The Origin of consciousness in the breakdown of the bicameral mind.
