dc.description.abstract	It is the intention of the below thesis to bring us description of the city Moscow and its denizens as described in the work of the German scholar Adam Olearius. Olearius' travel book is far too extensive, so I decided to exclude some scopes described in his work.Following the opening chapter, which brings us Olearius's thoughts on the purpose of the travel itself, we are given the biography of the scholar and the description of his travel book, which builds the necessary grounds for understanding my thesis. The main part of the thesis is focused on Moscow's architecture and religion. This is because Adam Olearius field of expertise was theology and religion and belief in God was very important to him. The final part of the thesis is focused on the denizens of Moscow, their customs and traditions. I compared Olearius's work with the alternative sources and the contemporary literature focused on the same topic.	en
dc.description.abstract	Úkolem této práce je popsat Moskvu a její obyvatele, tak jak je ve svém díle uvádí německý vzdělanec Adam Olearius. Jeho cestopis je velmi obsáhlý, proto se zde nenachází všechny oblasti, o kterých významný intelektuál podal své svědectví. Po úvodní kapitole, kde se Olearius zamýšlí nad smyslem cestování, následuje životopis vědce a popis jeho cestopisu, bez nichž by práce nebyla myslitelná. Hlavní část pojímá Moskvu z architektonického hlediska, dále se z velké části zabývá náboženstvím, neboť u tohoto učence, který vystudoval teologii, zaujímala víra v Boha důležité místo. V závěru se autorka zaměřuje na moskevské obyvatele, jejich tradice a zvyky. Svědectví Adama Olearia bylo porovnáno jednak s jinými prameny, tak i se současnou literaturou vztahující se k tématu.	cs
