Abstract
Diplomová práce se zabývá proměnou vztahů Anglie a Spojených nizozemskýchprovincií po restauraci Stuartovců v letech 1660?1675. První části diplomové práce sevěnují obecným dějinám obou zemí, které jsou vymezené koncem padesátých a polovinousedmdesátých let 17. století. Práce analyzuje zákony o plavbě z roku 1660, 1662 a 1663.Autorka porovnává zákony se zákonem o plavbě z roku 1651 a poukazuje na jejichrozdílnosti, jež vedly k mnoha sporům. Dále srovnává kvalitu, stav a připravenostnámořnictva obou zemí. Závěrečné kapitoly v chronologickém sledu rozebírají příčiny,události a důsledky druhé a třetí anglo-nizozemské války. Práce předkládá nejen politické,diplomatické, ale i ekonomické důvody, jež vedly k mnoha sporům mezi rivaly.
The diploma thesis deals with changes of English and Dutch relations after theStuart restoration between 1660?1675. The first part of the thesis is devoted to generalhistory of England and the United Provinces with the emphasis on the late fifties until midseventiesof the 17th century. The thesis analyses the Navigation Acts of 1660, 1662 and1663. The author compares the acts with the Navigation Act of 1651 and highlights theirdifferences, which led to many disputes. In the following chapters, the author compares thequality, condition and readiness of two navies. The final chapters analyse the causes,events and consequences of the second and the third Anglo-Dutch wars in chronologicalorder. The thesis presents not only political and diplomatic, but also economic reasonswhich led to many disputes between two rivals.
