Abstract
Diplomová práce se zabývá socioekonomickou charakteristikou soudobé Indie s ohledem k jejímu rozvojovému potenciálu a na pozadí současné ekonomické a společenské situace. První část diplomové práce analyzuje historické konotace, přírodní, společenské a ekonomické prostředí současné Indické republiky a shrnuje dosažený stav uvedených charakteristik. Diplomová práce se opírá o celou řadu veřejně dostupných dokumentů a zdrojů, zapracovává poznatky z bilaterálních setkání s indickými a čínskými podnikateli s cílem prezentace konkrétních poznatků při realizaci jejich podnikatelských plánů. Druhá část diplomové práce se věnuje prognóze vývoje indické ekonomiky a společnosti a porovnává její úroveň s Čínou včetně potenciálních rizik.
This thesis focuses on the socio-economic characteristics of present India in the respect with its development potential and on the background of the current economical and social situation. The first part of thesis analyses historical connotations, natural, social and economical environment of present Republic of India and summarizes the progress of the mentioned characteristics. The thesis outcomes from many publicly available documents and resources, deals with knowledge acquired from bilateral meetings with Chinese and Indian businessman aiming to present actual information from their business plans. The second part of thesis deals with the forecast of Indian economy and society and compares its level with China including possible risks.
