Abstract
Bakalářská práce pojednává o životě Dr. Jana Fausta, přičemž autorka vychází z publikace Martina Carchesia.V prvé řadě práce vymezuje literárně teoretický rámec díla a zasazuje ho do dobového kontextu.Následuje charakteristika postavy Fausta v jednotlivých fázích děje před upsáním a po upsání duše ďáblu. Dále je analyzována postava ďábla, která je konfrontována s Faustovým charakterem. Na závěr se autorka věnuje jazykové stránce a uvádí zajímavosti o Faustovi jeho působení v českém prostředí a paralely se staročeským čarodějem Žitem.
The bachelor thesis deals with the life of Dr. Johann Faust. The authorbased her work on the publication written by Martin Carchesius. First of allthe thesis establishes a literary-theoretical framework of the book and setsit into the period context which is followed by the characterization of Faustwithin each phase of the story before and after the bargain withMephostophiles. Also the analysis of the Devil character confronted withthe Faust character is included. In the end of the thesis the author focuseson the language aspect and states some interesting facts about Faust hisactivities in the Czech environment and analogies to Old Czech magicianŽito.
