Abstract
Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o porovnávání podmínek pro studium ve spojení s vrcholovou atletikou ve Spojených státech amerických (dále USA) a v České republice (dále ČR). V teoretické části se práce zaměřuje na porovnávání systémů školství v USA a ČR, dále charakterizuje systémy podpory provozování vrcholové atletiky studenty v USA a ČR. V neposlední řadě porovnává podmínky pro vrcholovou atletiku na vybraných amerických a českých univerzitách. V analytické části, za pomoci rozhovorů s respondenty z České republiky studujícími na amerických univerzitách, porovnávám zjištěné informace z teoretické části a provádím následnou komparaci. Na základě zjištěných skutečností formuluji doporučení pro praxi.
This bachelor thesis deals with comparing the conditions for studying in connection with elite athletics in the United States of America and the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on comparing the education systems in the USA and the Czech Republic, further characterizing the support systems for elite athletics among students in both countries, and last but not least, comparing the conditions for elite athletics at selected American and Czech universities. In the analytical part, with the help of interviews with respondents from the Czech Republic studying at American universities, I compare the information obtained from the theoretical part and subsequently conduct a comparison. Based on the findings, I formulate recommendations for practice.
