Abstract
Protestsong je zvláštní literární kategorie, která v sobě spojuje politiku a umění. Při jejím studiu je třeba zohlednit více faktorů. Úzce se pojí mimo jiné s historií a např. hudební vědou. Písňová tvorba Wolfa Biermanna, disidenta DDR, je hlavním předmětem této bakalářské práce. Jeho dílo dokumentuje dobu a tvoří část kulturního dědictví Německa.
Cílem této bakalářské práce je najít souvislosti mezi osobním životem Wolfa Biermanna, politickým vývojem v DDR a Biermannovou písňovou tvorbou. Teoretická část se zabývá osobním životem autora a vývojem jeho politického smýšlení v závislosti na politických událostech . Také pojednává o protestsongu jako o žánrové kategorii, jeho kořenech a potenciálu. Dále hledá paralely mezi tvorbou Wolfa Biermanna a Heinricha Heine a porovnává český a německý disent.
Praktickou část tvoří analýzy písňových textů Wolfa Biermanna. Jejím cílem je najít v textech odkazy a komentáře, týkající se politického dění.

It is closely connected, among other things, with history and, for example, musicology. The songwriting of Wolf Biermann, a DDR dissident, is the main subject of this bachelor's thesis. His work documents the time and forms part of Germany's cultural heritage. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to find connections between Wolf Biermann's personal life, political developments in the GDR and Biermann's songwriting. The theoretical part deals with the author's personal life and the development of his political thinking depending on political events. It also discusses the protest song as a genre category, its roots and potential. It looks for parallels between the work of Wolf Biermann and Heinrich Heine and compares Czech and German dissent. The practical part consists of analyzes of Wolf Biermann's lyrics. Its goal is to find references and comments related to political events in the texts.
