Abstract
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou genderové nerovnosti a mezinárodní konkurenceschopnosti Islandu. Cílem práce je posoudit úroveň genderové nerovnosti a identifikovat její dopad na mezinárodní konkurenceschopnost Islandu. Teoretická část se věnuje vymezení základních pojmů v oblasti genderové nerovnosti a mezinárodní konkurenceschopnosti. V praktické části je charakterizován současný stav a popsán historický vývoj genderové nerovnosti na Islandu. Následuje zhodnocení vlivu genderové nerovnosti na mezinárodní konkurenceschopnost Islandu pomocí korelační analýzy indexů GGI a GCI vytvořených Světovým ekonomickým fórem. Provedenou kvantitativní analýzu doplňuje rozhovor s odborníkem z praxe.
This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of gender gap and international competitiveness of Iceland. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the impact of gender gap on international competitiveness of Iceland. The theoretical part is devoted to the definition of basic concepts in the field of gender inequality and international competitiveness. In the practical part, an assessment of the current state and historical development of gender gap in Iceland has been carried out. This is followed by an assessment of the impact of gender gap on Iceland's international competitiveness using a correlation analysis of indices GGI and GCI published by the World Economic Forum. Finally, an interview with a practitioner completes the analysis.
