Abstract
Zadání vychází z vypsané ideové urbanisticko-architektonické soutěže. Cílem soutěže je najít a přinést inovativní pohledy, odvážná řešení, nové koncepty cestovního ruchu a volného času v 21. století ve vysokohorském prostředí podtatranské osady Starý Smokovec.
Řešený areál se nachází v turisticky atraktivní lokalitě s přírodním i historickým kontextem. Terén je mírně svažitý a v současnosti se v prostoru nachází legendární amfiteátr s pódiem a budova bývalého Interhotelu Bellevue. Územní plán předpokládá s využitím lokality pro sportovní, rekreační a kulturní funkce.
The assignment is based on the announced conceptual urban-architectural competition. The aim of the competition is to find and bring innovative perspectives, bold solutions, new concepts for tourism and leisure in the 21st century in high mountain environment of the sub-mountain settlement of Stary Smokovec. The resort is located in a tourist attractive location with natural and historical context. The terrain is slightly sloping and currently there is a legendary amphitheatre with a stage and the building of the former Interhotel Bellevue. The zoning plan envisages the use of the site for sports, recreational and cultural functions.
