dc.description.abstract	Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu překladu idiomů v knize Harry Potter a Kámen mudrců. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaké překladové strategie byly použity při překladu idiomů z angličtiny do češtiny a jak ovlivňují význam a atmosféru textu. Hlavní hypotézou práce je, že překlad idiomů vyžaduje různé strategie, přičemž některé metody, jsou preferované kvůli nutnosti zachování srozumitelnosti a přirozenosti textu. Práce se zaměřuje na srovnání anglických a českých idiomů a hodnotí překladové strategie na základě konkrétních příkladů z knihy. Teoretická část obsahuje obecné informace o idiomu, jeho vznik, funkci v textu, či rozvoji. Metodologie práce spočívá v lingvistické analýze vybraných idiomů, jejich kategorizaci dle použitých překladových strategií a následném vyhodnocení. Analyzováno bylo celkem 46 idiomů, z nichž nejčastěji byla použita adaptace, dále parafráze, ekvivalence a doslovný překlad. Dle výsledků analýzy je zřejmé, že překladatel upřednostňuje strategie, které umožňují přirozené začlenění idiomů do cílového jazyka. Závěrem lze konstatovat, že překlad idiomů není pouze lingvistickým, ale i kulturním procesem, kde je třeba zohlednit kontext a očekávání čtenářů.	cs
dc.description.abstract	This bachelor's thesis focuses on the analysis of the translation of idioms in the book Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The aim of the thesis is to find out what translation strategies were used when translating idioms from English to Czech and how they affect the meaning and atmosphere of the text. The main hypothesis of the thesis is that translation of idioms requires different strategies, with some methods being preferred due to the need to maintain the comprehensibility and naturalness of the text. The thesis focuses on the comparison of English and Czech idioms and evaluates translation strategies based on specific examples from the book. The theoretical part contains general information about the idiom, its origin, function in the text, or development. The methodology of the thesis consists of the linguistic analysis of selected idioms, their categorization according to translation strategies used and subsequent evaluation. A total of 46 idioms were analysed, of which adaptation was most often used, followed by paraphrase, equivalence and literal translation. According to the results of the analysis, it is clear that the translator prefers strategies that allow for the natural incorporation of idioms into the target language. In conclusion, it can be stated that translation of idioms is not only a linguistic but also a cultural process, where the context and expectations of the readers need to be taken into account.	en
