Abstract
Submitted dissertation thesis deals with the effect assessments of the individual phases presence in the three-phase polymeric composites filled with selected natural fibers on the preparation process and processability of resulting composite systems using injection moulding technology, where processes of melting and solidification are invoked. These processes present the phase transitions of the first order. The critical component which is decisive for the choice of other elements of the three-phase polymeric materials are natural fibers, which are very sensitive to elevated temperatures applied during the compounding and subsequent injection moulding. In order to monitor the impact of their implementation into multiphase polymer systems on the final processability of the resulting composites the characteristic of natural fibers was defined primarily through their diameter, surface profile and length distribution. The interaction of all the components has a direct impact on the viscosity of molten polymeric system, resulting morphology structure (especially for systems based on semi-crystalline matrices) and the resulting mechanical properties under various heat load conditions that are critical for evaluating the applicability of the composites. These parameters were monitored and evaluated using the DSC analysis, HDT analysis and melt flow index analysis.
