dc.description.abstract	Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá mírou znalosti názvů písmen anglické abecedy mezi českými vysokoškolskými studenty Katedry anglického jazyka Technické univerzity v Liberci. Teoretická část vymezuje klíčové pojmy související s hlavním tématem práce a nastiňuje historický vývoj anglické abecedy. Praktická část sestává ze tří částí - ústní test, poslechový test na univerzitní platformě Moodle a dotazník. Ústní test byl zaměřen na schopnost účastníků ústně produkovat názvy písmen anglické abecedy, test na platformě Moodle prověřil jejich schopnost sluchově rozlišovat tato jména a hlavním cílem dotazníku bylo shromáždit a prozkoumat názory studentů na to, jaké problémy by názvy písmen anglické abecedy mohly způsobovat. Cílem výzkumu bylo identifikovat chyby ve výkonech studentů, analyzovat je a následně vymezit vzorce chyb, podle nichž by bylo možné jednotlivé chyby kategorizovat. Výsledky výzkumu ukázaly, že skutečně existují písmena anglické abecedy, která jsou pro české studenty z hlediska sluchového vnímání i ústní produkce problematická. Na základě tohoto zjištění se došlo k závěru, že příčinou je z velké části fonologická interference mateřského jazyka. Kromě toho se písmena anglické abecedy velice zřídka ve výuce procvičují, což by mohlo vysvětlovat rozsah a množství těchto chyb.	cs
dc.description.abstract	This Bachelor's thesis deals with the extent of knowledge of the names of the letters of the English alphabet among Czech university students of the Department of English at the Technical University of Liberec. The theoretical part defines key concepts related to the main topic of the paper and outlines the historical development of the English alphabet. The practical part consists of three parts - an oral assessment, a listening exercise on the university's Moodle platform and a questionnaire. The oral assessment focused on the participants' ability to produce the names of the letters of the English alphabet orally; the Moodle exercise tested their ability to distinguish the names aurally, and the main aim of the questionnaire was to examine the students' perspectives on the various problems posed by the names of the letters of the alphabet. The research aimed to identify any errors in the student's performance, analyse them and then endeavour to identify patterns of errors and subsequently categorise the individual mistakes accordingly. The results of the research showed that there are letters of the English alphabet which are particularly problematic for Czech students in terms of aural perception as well as oral production. The conclusion reached that this was largely a result of L1 phonological interference. In addition, the letters of the alphabet are rarely, if ever, practised in the classroom, which might account for the extent of such errors.	en
